Sand Dunes

We tried to cross the ferry to Ocracoke Island [the same day we went to the lighthouses], but while waiting it started to horribly downpour. We finally had some sense knocked into us and we decided to turn around and go home. (The beach wouldn't be much fun in the rain. The ferry either.) So we came home and visited the sand dunes that night. (It's too hot in the day time to walk on the sand, so the night was perfect.)

Jordan found this display at the begining and really wanted to try it...

Mom helping her "fly."

Most of the cousins at the top of the sand dunes.

Jordan, Peter, Kammie, Kate, Jacob, Danny and Spencer

A back view of Sidnie going down...
Sidnie from behind (love the flipped up skirt as she climbed)...

A toad that Mom found and caught. (That impressed cousin Danny.)

We were there as the sun set...

As it got dark, Sidnie was tired of walking, so Mom gave her a piggyback ride. She did fall asleep, but them people started commenting on it. By the time we got the picture taken, she was awake and smiling...
