Daddy's little girl

On Saturday night as we were eating dinner, Sidnie finished and came over to me and said: "I want to sit on your lap." I told her I was not done eating yet, and that she'd have to wait." She didn't fuss. She simply walked over to her Daddy and said: "Can I sit on your lap Daddy?" It was so cute. He was eating too, but after that simple and sweet request, how could he resist?

All smiles!

Twin two year olds?

My friend was able to go out of town this past week (to Miami, FL) with her husband to a medical conference where he presented his research. She had a friend all lined up to watch her kids, but that friend's g-pa had a massive heart attack, so she had to scramble to find somewhere else for the kids to go. We were blessed with Sidnie's BFF Halle. It was like having twins. They were great together, except at bedtime. We had to have Halle lay on the couch until she fell asleep and then carry her into the bedroom or they were talking, jumping on the beds and having a good old time.

They had fun having me spin them around in this chair. (And they didn't even get sick.)

A view from above them...(aren't they so cute?)

At the nursing home watching Spencer perform.

I can never get them to look at me at the same time for a picture. Here they are both looking at each other instead of at the camera.

Pinnacle Mountain Ward's Christmas Party

Our Ward's Christmas party was Friday the 10th. Before we knew it Zack was on Santa's lap making his requests...
Zacky confident he's going to get what he asked for...
Spencer had already seen Santa earlier in they day, so he didn't want to see him again. And Kate, Jordan, and Kammie are too "old" for that. But I thought it would be fun to get a picture of Sidnie with Santa. As you can see that did not go over well at all...She was traumatized by the whole thing and this is as close as she got, wailing the whole time. How dare you try to put me on this stranger's lap!

Kammie and Priscilla Williams sang "Stars were Gleeming"
Azida and James Walker (with their new baby girl) played the Holy Family...

Spencer's Field Trip

Spencer's pre-k class had a field trip on Friday to sing at a nursing home and then they went to the mall to see Santa Claus and have lunch.

Pine Forest Elementary's Winter Wonderland

Every year Pine Forest Elementary School has a Winter Wonderland program where each grade performs/sings holiday songs. (They also have a silent auction to raise money for the school and serve hot chocolate and cookies to the kids.) It was held Thursday (the 9th) of this past week.

There's the smile we wanted...

Kelly came to visit

In the five years we've lived here in Arkansas, we've never had a sibling visit until now. James' brother came for Thanksgiving and then my sister came December
2nd-5th. It was great. We had fun just hanging out together. Of course the kiddos were thrilled to have their Aunt here.

Aunt Kelly with the her Marshall nieces and nephews...
On the cough with Mom too...
I debated whether or not to put this one in, but here it goes. (Gotta love the finger up the nose)...

New PJ's

G-ma Vernetta got all the kids new PJ's for Christmas. They girls love the soft cozy PJ pants they got and the boys too. Thanks Grandma!

James' sleeping buddy

As readers of our Blog know, we have an adopted pet, Peppy (le Pew) as James would say. "Our" cat has spent more and more time here at our house. He now usually spends part of the night inside--it's been cold for AR. When James lays down in bed, the cat likes to climb onto his chest. More than once now, they have fallen asleep like this...

Others like to curl up with the cat as well...
Spencer loves the cat, but tortures him as well with some of his attention. Here Spencer and Peppy are together in peace (which is not always the case)...
