Exploring North Carolina's Lighthouses

On Wednesday, without much forethought, we set out to see some of the Lighthouses North Carolina has to offer. We didn't check the weather forecast before hand, and it was cloudy and rainy. Unfortunately, they follow the same rules as a swimming pool. If there is lightening and thunder you have to wait a half hour before you can go up to the top. Since there were storms off and on, the lighthouse was closed for the day and all we got was a view from the outside.

Our first stop was to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Since we couldn't go up, we headed off to the next one.
