Off the roof crazy kid...

While shooting off the waterbottle rockets at the end of the birthday party, the water bottle came down on the roof, and rolled right off. But, Spencer climbed the tree in those few seconds and got up on the roof anyway. I told him to wait there, so I could take a picture. When I came back with the camera, he was all the way up on top.

An Olympic sized birthday party

Kammie hasn't had a friend birthday for a long, long time.  She requested to have one this year.  We were busy with swimming, swimming and more swimming in July, so we postponed it.  Then Zack's birthday came and we decided to add he and his friends to an Olympic themed birthday party.

We held all sorts of sporting activities such as hurdles, sprints, long distance races, etc.

We had a great time at our homemade birthday party.  Eve Larkin was our overall medal winner and an all around great athlete.

Locks of Love

Kate had her hair cut clear back in June before her 16th birthday.  I finally found the pigtails burried on the counter where they had been in a bag and we got them sent off to Lock of Love.  Hope someone likes the hair piece they make with it.

I made Kate hold the hair for a photo before I sent it off...

A blanket for Rachel Nance

After having two little boys, a girl in our ward was having her first baby girl. This is the blanket I threw together for her little Heidi Jane...

Zack's Birthday

Zack turned 9 this year. It's hard to believe that my first boy is getting so big. (And Spencer is not too far behind.) We love Zack's excitement and enthusiasm for life. He's been a joy and blessing from the beginning.

James was going to his LeadAR seminar and wouldn't be here on Zack's birthday, so we let Zack open one gift early.  Luckily for us, Aunt Tara is on the ball and her package arrived in time to be the gift he opened.  She made him happy.

A Star Wars Wii game...
 A lego horse...
 And other Legos...

We celebrated his birthday with everyone but his Dad on his big day.  He was so excited to open presents.  But that was delayed, because I lost the present Kammie was going to give him.  I put it in an obvious place, so I wouldn't forget it, but then I couldn't find it for over an hour.  Urg!  But I found it in the end.

Here he is with the presents...
 A gift from Spencer...
He gave him $2 from his own piggy bank.  What a sweet brother.  I thought it was just a picture he had colored, but he had added the money on his own.
 Brothers...
A package from the Olson Grandparents...
 Their card...
 The lost tie from Kammie...
A remote control Hummer... (that Spencer stepped on a broke after like an hour of use.  GRRRR!)
 A new pillow...
 Happy Birthday to Zack-a-roo.
Zack requested a 3 meat pizza from Little Ceasars with the Cheese bread (instead of just breadsticks).  We had that and he was happy.  Then he wanted Oreo Truffles for his dessert.
Make and wish and blow those candles out...
 He got them all...

We sure do love you Zacky boy!
