Black Widow

We came home on a Friday night to the kids telling us that when the neighbor dropped off his daughter for a sleep over they saw many cockroaches on our mailbox when their headlights was level with it.  Now lest some of you freak out, we are in the SOUTH.  Even if you are clean and spray, you can't keep all the critters away.  We had no idea they had taken up a home in the cracks between the brick and the seems down the outside of the mailbox.  It was dark, but we went out with bug spray.  While we were killing those nasty creepy crawlers, I moved the flashlight down to the base of the brick mailbox unit and found a black widow on a web.  James quickly sprayed that as well.
 From the top side...

Flipped over to see the underside...
Must have been young to have red markings on both sides.  Someone suggested that I should have simply moved it to a safer place, but with young children, I didn't want to take chances.
