An Olympic sized birthday party

Kammie hasn't had a friend birthday for a long, long time.  She requested to have one this year.  We were busy with swimming, swimming and more swimming in July, so we postponed it.  Then Zack's birthday came and we decided to add he and his friends to an Olympic themed birthday party.

The entrance to the Athletes Village...

 Our welcome sign...
Olympic rings as decorations (made from styrofoam plates)...

The boys were one team called Zackistan...

The girls were from the country Kamany...

More olympic ring decorations...

Decorations and the party favors (treats and light stick bracelets to be their own olympic rings)...

We held all sorts of sporting activities such as hurdles, sprints, long distance races, etc.

Here Cole is ready for our version of the discus throw...

Luke's turn...
Spencer ...
 The discus in flight...
 Kamany's athletes watching Zackistan throw...

We had a great time at our homemade birthday party.  Eve Larkin was our overall medal winner and an all around great athlete.
