Bob Courtway Fall Invitational (Swim Meet)

The first official (short course) swim meet for the Racers was held in Conway, AR on October 8, 2011. James was away at his LeadAR seminar in Monticello, AR, so I (Kathie) was fully responsible to get Kammie to a pool I'd never been to before. I would say I'm directionally challenged, but we made it safely and without incident. (Phew!)

There are three levels on the team. Black is the best, Red is the middle and Yellow is the beginners. Kammie is on the red team.

You could be in 5 individual events and two relays. The night before, they only had Kammie listed in one relay--the 200 team freestyle, but the coach informed us when we arrived that Kammie would also be doing the butterfly portion of a medely relay.
At these meets, they don't have a Clerk of Course (people getting you lined up where you need to be for each event. It's your responsibility to be in the right lane at the right time. Thankfully we didn't have any problems.

It was a great meet. Kam bettered her time in every event but the butterfly from the inter-squad meet in September. And ALL of her times were better than this past summer. Go Kam!
