Awards

In May there were awards assemblies at the different schools.
The first was at the High School.  It was held on the evening of Tuesday, May 14th.  They don't tell you what awards they are getting, just that they are getting something that night.  I was sitting too far back and didn't so well with getting my camera on the right setting.  I got a bit of a video of Jordan and then blurry photos of Kate.  I hope it's better than nothing...
Jordan was the top student in her Spanish 2 class.  She was on the all A Honor Roll.  And she was the top student in her pre-AP English class.

Kate got an award for being a top student in her American History class.
And after the awards, Kate, Jordan and I hurried off to the Stake Center for a Gladys Knight devotional.  This is the choir filing out.  Gladys Knight is the one in white clear up at the podium.  She walked right by us in the way in, but I didn't snap a photo then.  It was a fun night, but way more clapping then we are used to in our church.  Jordan was a little uncomfortable with the whole thing.  But it was GREAT!

Jordan's induction into the Beta Club was after school on Wednesday, May 15th.  They didn't mess around.  They started right on time and I was a couple of minutes late.  The whole thing didn't last very long.
Jordan and Tiera have been friends since 2nd grade.  Together at the end of their 9th grade year.
This is a throwback shot of them after their 5th Grade musical Annie Jr.

Kammie's awards at the middle school on Thursday, May 16th during school.
She was the top student in Mr. Holmes pre AP pre-algebra class.
She got the Good Citizen award in Science here with Mr. Holbrook
Ms. Gill presented the All A honor roll award.
And Kammie was one of the top Art students for Ms. May

After helping with a Spring Fling Carnival at Sid's elementary school, I hurried to the High School for the Athletic Banquet.  Jordan lettered by participating in Track.
Coach Garrison was head coach of the Track team.  He was impressive, knowing every kids name and something about them.  (And the track team was large.)
