New iPhones

At the end of November we finally upgraded to smart phones for me and Kate.  We had "dumb" phones and mine had died twice and Kate's was finally dying as well.  We were at Sam's Club on Black Friday and they had a deal on the new iPhone 5C's.  We got them for $.99!  Woot! Woot!
Kate at the store pleased to get a new phone in white.
My first Selfie...
A few days later I did a selfie with Sidnie, while at lunch with her at school.

Young Woman Recognition Plaque

It was clear back in February of 2013 that Kate earned her Young Woman's medallion, but when they finally got her name on the plaque, they had the wrong date.  They finally got that fixed.  Jordan is on there as well.  She earned hers the previous September of 2012.

2nd Grade Thankgiving Theater

Spencer was a narrator in his 2nd grade Thanksgiving play.  My ladies man was excited to wear this suit coat to school to impress the ladies...

7th grade Band Concert

On November 7th, the 7th Graders had a band performance.  It's hard to get a decent photo from where we sat, but here is the attempt...
They sold raffle tickets to the student band members previously and chose one of them to throw a whip cream pie at one of the teachers.  Mr. Meadows was chosen.  He got ready and people gathered around.  Including my 7 year old son.  He was behind and to the side of Mr. Meadows and ended up getting covered with whip cream too.  We had a great laugh about that.
His friend was ready for a lick/taste.
So, we snapped a picture with Mr. Meadows...

Nursery Rhyme Parade

On Nov. 8, the kindergarteners were asked to dress up as their favorite nursery rhyme character.  I asked mine what she wanted to do.  The usual Little Miss Muffet came up since we have a big spider on an elastic string in our Halloween decorations.  Then, as we looked through our Nursery Rhyme book, I got an original idea that I knew no one else would do.  Since we have a black crow from a Maleficent costume, I thought Sid could be the maid in the garden who was hanging out the clothes when along came a black bird and snipped off her nose from Sing a Song of Sixpence.  Our little girl was so cute.  It was also dress as a favorite book character day for the boys.
Isn't she a cutie down to the band-aid on her nose...
 Harry Potter
 Trying to stay warm...
 All three together...
Spence wanted to be Percy Jackson, but I didn't have anything for that.  So, he was the Fox again from Hattie and the Fox or Chicken Licken.

The kindergartener's did a costume parade throughout the school...
Then they gathered in the multi-purpose room to recite some of the nursery rhyme's...
That itchy band-aid...

Ni-Ni

The Kindergartener's went on their first field trip to see the play The Little Engine that Could at the children's theater.  They could only take one adult, so I was not able to tag along on this one.

In November I went to lunch with the kids and took these of my ni-ni out on the playground.
