My oldest and my youngest have their birthdays four days apart. My oldest baby is now 16 years old. Where has the time gone? It's been fun to watch her grow up and become a young lady. Because of her, I became a mother. I will forever be grateful that she entered our family.
Kate's friend Julia, wanted to surprise her with a "party," so she planned an activity the day before Kate's birthday, to kidnap Kate and take her to Firefly Studio (a paint it yourself pottery place) and then they went to the Olive Garden for dinner. A lot of the girls invited couldn't come last minute, but Jordan, Julia, Ana Grace and Lindsey had a great time with Kate.
While they were painting, the YW's President, Karen Beheshti, stopped by with a cake she had made especially for Kate.

There was a youth temple trip on the 23rd and James took Kate, Jordan and her friend Priscilla over to Memphis on the night of Kate's birthday. So, she opened presents before she left, but had to wait to have her birthday dinner of Babyback ribs and 4-layer delight for her dessert on Sunday.
They don't do Drivers Ed in the schools here, so we opted to have take a one week class to better prepare herself for the written test. She passed with flying colors. She now has her permit and can drive with one adult licensed driver. James as taken her out practice drving a few times so far.
We are happy to have Kate in our family. She is so kind hearted and loving to others. She has a talent for showing empathy to others. We love to see her developing her talent in Art and progressing towards that Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. We Love you KATSIE!
