Traveling Home/New Family Legend

We had so much fun in Utah and relished the time we had with family.  Family time is so few and far between for us.  Anyway, the time came for us to leave Utah and drive home.  It just happened to be July12th, which this year was Chick-fil-A day.  That is the customer appreciation day where if you come to one of their restaurants dressed as a cow, you can get free food.  We've participated the last few years, so the kids didn't want to miss out this year.  So I (mom), planned ahead and brought our Cow dress up stuff.  That consists of two cow aprons, a toddler cow costume, a black witch dress upon which we pin white spots, a black witch cape that we pin spots too and cow pajamas.  We were unsure of the route we would take home, and we didn't know if we'd be near Chick-fil-A's later, so we went to Chick-fil-A for FREE breakfast in St. George, UT before heading out.  YUM!  James waited in the car and then shared meals with Spencer and Sidnie who didn't eat all of theirs.

Then off we went.  I think the drive between Utah and AZ is BEAUTIFUL!  Even though there is dessert to begin with, the landscape was gorgeous.  Then closer to AZ there are more trees, but it's still nice scenery to see.  These were taken by me, out the car window while James was driving.
 In Arizona
In Flagstaff, we discovered that they too had a Chick-fil-A.  We had lunch there for free, of course.

We even got James to participate this time.  He went all out as you can tell.
After driving all day, we arrived in Albuquerque, NM.  And just so we could say we ate at 3 Chick-fil-A's in 3 states in ONE day, we had pizza and our favorite place (Dion's) and got free shakes and sundaes for dessert at Chick-fil-A.  Oh the memories!

Our second day of travel took us through more of New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.  This was one of our Pit Stops...
Zack took some photos of the scratches his brother gave him while traveling in the car.  Oh the joy of being in a confined space for a long time with your siblings.
It's great to go on vacation, but it's always good to get/be HOME!
