On Memorial Day we had some friends over for dinner. [Thanks Thomas' and Gardner’s for being our guinea pigs.] We showed them our new way to make (and harden) homemade ice cream. It was a big hit. Instead of processing your ice cream in a traditional ice cream freezer, you pour the mixture into a big bowl, throw in some big chunks of dry ice and stir until done. It makes the ice cream have a little "carbonated" kick too it, but it works faster and is "fun" for the kids to gather around to watch. (And it certainly isn't as loud.)
