As I sat down to do this entry, we heard the familiar "meow" at our back door. Peppy is hear for another visit. We were worried when we left at Christmas time how Peppy would do with us being gone for two weeks, because he had been sleeping here every night. James even thought if if got too cold, that he'd be a Peppy-cycle.
But he was just fine. Not more than a couple hours after were returned on Sunday, January 2nd, but he was at our back door meowing to come in. And he's back to being a regular fixture in our home. In fact, this past week, Kammie and I went to his owner's home selling Girl Scout Cookies and Betty and Charles asked if we'd seen their cat. I replied sheepishly: "Yes, he's at our house. The kids let him in." Their next question: "Did he sleep there last night?" "Yes" was the reply. They were worried that he was out in the snow storm. I said we had let him in when he came by and then we didn't have the heart to put him out when it started snowing. They did buy some cookies, but I'm not sure they are thrilled that we've taken over there cat, but they didn't say anything. And Peppy was a comfort to Spencer this week when he was sick with Strep Throat and a Sinus infection.
Here with Spencer on Mom's bed...
He definately loves being near people.
Curled up on a pile of pillows...
I don't know if you can tell what a funny position this is, but James was on his side reading and the cat crawled up and got settled in this not so flat position.
Closer up...
