On May 15th, they held an 8th grade Recogniztion Night (Graduation). Jordan looked beautiful and was excited to receive awards. She received a certificate of completion, The President's Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence along with a pin, the highest average for her Family and Consumer Science Class, was on the All A Honor Roll, and won $50.00 for finishing 2nd place for reading. This year she read 3,364,867 words. (The girl that beat her had 5 million words, but moved here just a year ago, so she could take a test on any book she had ever read whether or not she had read that book this year. Once you take a test on a book, you can't re-take a test, even if you re-read a book. Jordan also read several books in a series from an LDS author [Dean Huges-Children of the Promise and Hearts of the Children series], that she couldn't count.) Way to go Jordan!
