On Sunday the 22nd of April it was pretty windy outside. After church and dinner, the kids went outside to play. Just as James came out the front door to go home teaching, he saw a kite fly over the house. Not too long later the string came by as well and Kate was able to grab it. Soon a guy riding a bike came by looking for the kite of which his daughter had accidently let go. We were still trying to rescue it from our roof at that point. The kite was in the back yard, but the string was over the house. We were able to un-hook the kite from the string and then pull the string over the house and return the kite in one piece. That inspired Mom to pull out the kite Zack had been given by G-ma Vernetta for his birthday. We flew it up and down the street a couple of times, and then decided to go to a big empty field just down our street and across the boulevard. We were able to get the kide up easily several times. Perfect windy weather for our kite flying fun.
Since it was Zack's kite, he was the first to get it up.
Up it goes...
Up in the air...
Kammie's turn...
Reeling it in...
Trying to grab the kite as it comes down...
Jordan's turn...
We had a blast!
