The blessing of LIFE

James took an unexpected trip to Virginia this weekend to see his father one last time. Fulton, his Dad, has been in the hospital for the last 10 days with a fever, pneumonia and a heart valve infection. They've been treating the infection in the heart valve with antibiotics, but the fever has never gone down. This type of infection in the heart valve spits the infection to other parts of the body. In Fulton's case, that's the lungs. They know he can't survive heart valve replacement surgery, so there is nothing more they can do for him. His lungs are filling and it's harder and harder for him to breath. He doesn't have much time left. James was able to give his father a blessing of "release" from this life today. We are thankful for the love and kindness he has always shown us. WE love him and will miss him when he's gone.
